About Year View

Year View 2011 is a photo blog of my year. The idea is that I take a photo every day and post it here. I am not a professional photographer or anything like that. Some of my pictures could be of something Really Ordinary and Not At All Artistic. But I want to show you my year and my life and things I see as worth a photo.

I got the inspiration for Year View from my friend who has a HUGE to-do list for 2011. One of her tasks is to take a photo every day. I thought I could do that too! So I want to thank Katy for giving me the idea. You should check out her The 2011 To-Do List blog. She really has got a lot to do.

I would also want to thank my husband Tuomo and our cat Touho, because they'll probably end up being subjects of my photos more often than they'd prefer. Thank you, and sorry, but hey, that's what you get for marrying me!

A few words of my cameras for those who might be interested

I will probably take most of my pictures with my digital Canon Power Shot SX100.
I also have an old Smena Symbol. I found it in a flea market and it works like a charm. If it's summer. And sunny.
I have a four-lensed Lomography Actionsampler. It takes four little pictures on the same print. It doesn't have a flash, so again, summer, sunny.
Last but not least we have a Lomography Fisheye2. It has a 170-degree wide-angle view and the pictures are round. This one has a flash!

Say cheese!
